Music and Motion offers developmentally appropriate music and movement classes for newborns through age 7, accompanied by a parent or caregiver, using Kindermusik curricula.
In class, you’ll play, listen, sing (encouraged, but optional!), move, dance, and giggle with your child. It’s fun. Lots of fun. But the best part – your child will be learning and developing skills along the way. Each of our activities is designed to stimulate your child’s brain, strengthen developing neurons, build gross and fine motor skills, enhance social-emotional development, and much more.
A trained, licensed Kindermusik educator seamlessly guides the class from one activity to the next. With expertise in childhood development, she’ll help you understand what your child is gaining. Kindermusik combines the latest research with proven methods. If you’re familiar with music education pioneers such as Orff, Kodaly, and Suzuki, you’ll find their influence woven throughout the curriculum.

Learn over 30 songs, lullabies, and nursery rhymes while bonding with your baby in over 100 activities!

Toddler ~ 18m to 3 1/2 yr with adult

Build a relationship with your toddler using songs, activities, instruments, and props! Concepts of steady beat, sequencing, as well as individual and ensemble music making are integrated into each class.
2 CDs, developmentally appropriate instrument, 2 story books, and home activity guide are included.

Preschool ~ 3 to 5 yr
Tuesdays @ 1:15
Designed for your independent and imaginative preschooler, this class is a musical journey of discovery and exploration using literature, pretend play, and instrumental & vocal skill development activities! The last 10 minutes are devoted to sharing what has been learned with adults and siblings.
2 CDs, 2 literature books, interactive play set, family activity guide, and instrument are included.
$210/fourteen 45 minute classes
Young Child ~ 5 through 7 yr
Tuesdays @ 2:15
Learning activities and instrument playing allow your young child to begin to read music and create musical compositions! The symbols, notation, and vocabulary of music and it's greatest composers are also introduced. The last 15 minutes are devoted to sharing what has been learned with parents and siblings.
1 CD, folder of musical activities, game bag, song book, glockenspiel w/ mallets and carrying bag are included.
